Project Support

Overview

Projects Support’s primary objective is economic empowerment of women and rural communities through a robust, self – sufficient microbusiness ecosystem. Through a demanding process of identifying, capacitating, and support by procuring resources for eligible projects, the NMRW establishes the minimum requirements for women – led, self – started, rural based projects in Agriculture (crop, poultry, and animal farming), Manufacturing – Grain based food industry (Confectionery and bakery) Construction (Brick making), Manufacturing (clothing and textiles) and Arts & Crafts.

Support for projects occurs through a three – tier model comprising of Coordinators level, Facilitators level and National Facilitator’s level. Together with the assistance

of Administrators, Project Support provides guidance in establishing sound financial principles, mentorship in business practices, and practical assistance throughout the project’s growth.

Impact

Number of Projects supported: The NMRW has provided support to over 490 rural micro enterprises, testifying to the organisations commitment to fostering economic empowerment in rural communities.

Beneficiaries: The NMRW’s impact on the communities it serves is evidenced by the number of its direct and indirect beneficiaries. With a record of over 2384 direct beneficiaries, comprising Project Members from diverse families, the organisations reach extends beyond these individuals.

Each project member on average supports 5-8 extended family members within their households, resulting in a broader impact on the overall community. By considering both direct and indirect beneficiaries, NMRW’s impact becomes even more substantial, touching the lives of larger number of individuals and families. This demonstrates the organisations dedication to creating a positive change and improving the well – being of the community.
