Ithuteng Poultry
Established in 2014, the project is based in Taung in the North West Province. The five NMRW identified the project in March 2018 and has been funded, following their incubation period, since 2019. This assistance includes a structure which has the capacity to house 1000 chickens, chicks, feed and medication to keep the chicks healthy. With their profits, the members have also been able to install electricity and increase their monthly salaries. Lack of water continues to hinder the overall success of the project as it leads to the overheating of the chickens. The members, however, continue to seek innovative solutions to combat this problem.
